Peter Salerno, NKBA Team Up To Promote Designer Education & Certification
NKBA Features Peter Salerno in 2015 KBIS Conference Video

Representatives from the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) recently visited Peter Salerno Inc.’s award-winning design showroom in Wyckoff, NJ, to film Peter Salerno for an upcoming presentation at the 2015 KBIS Conference.
The KBIS presentation, which will center around the importance of kitchen and bath designers becoming NKBA Certified, will feature video testimonials from some of North America’s finest kitchen & bath designers.
“Being NKBA certified lends instant credibility to my business.” – Peter Salerno
The KBIS video feature was filmed by Andrew Mackenzie, NKBA Manager of Certification, and Ash Sukumar, NKBA Marketing Communications Specialist. Andrew and Ash made for a knowledgeable, efficient team, and Peter Salerno noted privately to his team how comfortable he felt working with them on the project.
The video piece centered around Peter Salerno’s personal experience as an NKBA certified designer and CMKBD (Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer) in the industry. Peter spoke at length about the value of continuing education for all designers, and was very clear about the importance of becoming NKBA Certified.

“My clients can sit in my office while we discuss their project, look at the wall and see my certification diploma from the NKBA,” Peter said during filming. “They know they’re in good hands. {Being NKBA certified] lends instant credibility to my business.”
Topics covered in the video include Peter’s NKBA certification process, why becoming NKBA certified is a strong business investment, and a few personal anecdotes about Peter Salerno’s father Ross “Maestro Rosolino” Salerno and his early days in the design industry.
The KBIS video shoot was also attended by Peter Salerno’s son Anthony, who is an integral member of the Peter Salerno Inc. family. Speaking directly to the value of becoming NKBA certified, Anthony Salerno is currently studying for his NKBA certification as well.
One of the NKBA representatives’ favorite facets of the Peter Salerno Inc. showroom was the freshly updated “La Cornue” showpiece kitchen, complete with an update to its stunning Swarovski crystal ceiling.

Since its inception in 1963, the NKBA has placed strong emphasis on the continuing education of its members. According to the official NKBA website, “The mission of the NKBA is to enhance member success and excellence, promote professionalism and ethical business practices, and provide leadership and direction for the kitchen and bath industry worldwide.”
