After a particularly rough winter of 2014-2015 in the United States (especially the Northeast), we’re more than ready to welcome spring into our lives – and our homes! Spring 2015 brings with it a change in season, and an update in home design trends.

Recently, Pantone debuted its “2015 Colors” – colors that will dominate the design palette for the coming year. The colors (such as Scuba Blue, Lavender Herb and Toasted Almond) were vivid but serene, bright but never over-bearing. 2015 Spring Design Trends: Colors and Styles

1. Colors that are vibrant but not overbearing.

In HGTV’s profile of 2015 spring color trends (as well as Pantone’s 2015 Colors list), the tones are bright but never glaring. Fresh pastels and warm tones are balanced with creams and grays to create a vivid, tasteful color scheme.

For spring 2015, HGTV recommends decorating with fresh flowers to add “life and energy to any space”. Again, we turn to Peter Salerno’s shore kitchen to follow this 2015 design trend.
