Celebrate National Entrepreneurship Week 2017 In Style!

National Entrepreneurship Week (Feb. 18-25, 2017) is near and dear to our hearts, as we honor great past, current and future entrepreneurs who have led the charge for American ingenuity, business and independence.

According to the official National Entrepreneurship Week page on Entre-Ed’s website, their goal is simple:

“Our goal is to publicize the great contributions of American entrepreneurs and the variety of programs now available in every state to provide entrepreneurial “experiences”, preparing the entrepreneurs of the future.” (NEW Website, 2017)

We love Entre-Ed’s mission to spread the entrepreneurial spirit to future generations of great American business leaders, offering tools, leads and seminars to aspiring entrepreneurs. And why wouldn’t we? After all, were it not for the entrepreneurial spirit and success of Peter Salerno, our parent company wouldn’t be a global leader and innovator in the custom design industry.

Peter Salerno Inc.: An American Entrepreneurial Success Story

As a child, Peter Salerno spent his Saturdays and vacations in his father Rosolino’s cabinet shop. Being introduced to the manufacturing and sales process at a young age had a lasting and invaluable effect on him. Peter attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and graduated as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy with a Business Degree.

Peter’s Naval commitment gave him the ability to travel most of Europe and Western Asia. Studying art and sketching have always been a form of relaxation for Peter; being stationed in Italy was the perfect opportunity to study the masters and old world architecture first hand. After returning from the Navy Peter decided to apply his artistic vision to his father’s growing business.

In 1997, Peter and his wife Tracy opened Peter Salerno Inc, in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Combining his years of business and industry knowledge with his passion for art and architecture have made him one of the most sought after designers in the industry. Now both his son and daughter have joined the business to create a third generation of design and excellence.

From HGTV to the NKBA, Sub-Zero and Wolf to Signature Kitchens and Baths, Peter Salerno Inc.’s commitment to personalized luxury, world-class design and unparalleled craftsmanship has created a true American entrepreneurial success story.

Peter Salerno: An Entrepreneur’s Dedication to Continuing Education

The one characteristic that binds together all great entrepreneurs is a passion for continuing education and an appetite for knowledge. Never one to rest on his achievements, Peter Salerno constantly strives to find new and unique ways to gather information and utilize it in current, state-of-the-art designs.

Watch Peter Salerno’s KBIS 2015 video on NKBA Certifications and Continuing Education:

From Peter’s continued status as a valued member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) to his annual attendance at the renowned KBIS convention, the founder of Peter Salerno Inc. cannot stress enough to young entrepreneurs the value of constant self-improvement. In a constantly evolving marketplace, your value lies not only in your past and current knowledge, but your eagerness to keep learning new skills, techniques, and trends.

Peter Salerno is a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer (CMKBD), and his successful, award-winning custom design business is in large part based on his commitment to continuing professional education. Much of that continuing education comes through the NKBA and its outstanding member programs.
