Stay Warm And Enjoy These Snow Day Design Inspirations
We always dream of a white Christmas. Apparently in 2017, we’re getting a white St. Patrick’s Day. What in the world is going on?
A major snowstorm in the middle of March isn’t the ideal situation for many of us (unless you love skiing or getting an unplanned day off!) – but we always like to turn every situation in a positive. So while you have all this extra time cooped up avoiding the snow, let’s make the best of it!

After all, whether you like the snow or not, it’s a reflection of a massive home design trend. Whites and neutrals aren’t just complementary colors anymore – they’re the center of attention!
From gorgeous white transitional kitchens full of ambient light to warm neutral tones in living spaces, there are so many ways to utilize whites and neutrals in your home design. Take Pantone’s last several collections of seasonal color palettes as a guide – each of them contained at least one core neutral that not only balanced each collection, but helped define it.

(These Pantone colors – Hazelnut, Warm Taupe, Potter’s Clay and Iced Coffee – are all wonderful options for custom kitchen and bath design, either as an accent color or the “main event”.)

Check out the home design photos above and below and get inspired! After all, 2017 is a year to let nature and natural colors influence your design – so even a massive snowstorm can be used as a positive. Stay warm!
