If you’re unfamiliar with Pantone – it’s the world’s foremost authority on color, and the creator of the best color matching system available. We think Pantone is absolutely essential when it comes to color design. That extends past home design to party decor, accessories, clothing and more. If you’re a super-fan of a particular NFL team, then this series of articles is custom built for you!
The AFC East and AFC North are home to the 2 NFL franchises with the most Super Bowl wins as of 2019; following Super Bowl 53, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots have each won six Super Bowls. The other six teams in the AFC East and AFC North each have their own storied histories. The Jets, Dolphins and Ravens each have won Super Bowls, and the Dolphins own the NFL’s only undefeated season. The Buffalo Bills appeared in four consecutive Super Bowls. The Cleveland Browns boast a legacy that includes all-time greats Jim Brown, Ozzie Newsome and Otto Graham. The Bengals boast all-time greats like Anthony Munoz and are credited with being the first team to feature the West Coast offense.
If you’re a fan of one of the eight franchises listed above, then it’s crucial you’re up to date on the color trends and official Pantone colors of your favorite NFL team. Each color code is verified as authentic; basing your apparel, decor or home design around these Pantone colors will guarantee you exhibit pinpoint team pride!
Note: Some color names (“gray”, “silver”, etc.) are over-arching color names for Pantone colors without a specific title. Please refer to the color codes under each graphic for the exact specifications for each team’s variant of those colors. (Don’t confuse the orange used by the Browns and Bengals, for example!) We have limited each set to the 2-3 prevailing colors for each team and chose jersey colors over helmet colors. Also, there is no Pantone code for white unless an opaque white is specified.
Also, in the case of the Pittsburgh Steelers, we’ve featured the three colors used in their famous “three stars” logo. The team also features black, silver and white in their jersey designs.
