Three Generations, One Magnificent Kitchen [PHOTO]

Peter Salerno’s Family Tradition Shines In Custom Kitchen Photo

Three generations of the Salerno family met in one gorgeous Peter Salerno-designed kitchen. The result is a photograph that needs very little description:

On the left is Peter Salerno – master designer, CMKBD, and founder of Peter Salerno Inc. (the most-awarded designer by NKBA since 2003). On the right is Peter’s son Anthony Salerno, the third generation of Salernos to join the custom design craft in the United States.

In the center is Rosolino Salerno, Peter’s father and the man who “started it all” for Peter Salerno Inc. “Ross”, as he is affectionately known, is the patriarch of the Salerno family and a master craftsman in his own right. His name is the inspiration for Peter Salerno’s “Mastro Rosolino” cabinet line.

This photo means the world to Peter and Anthony, as Rosolino passed away after this photo was taken. The Maestro’s signature craftsmanship, care and eye for design is reflected in every piece Peter Salerno and his team produce.

Lest we forget the kitchen! It is a one-of-a-kind Peter Salerno Inc. original custom-designed kitchen. The Saddle River, New Jersey kitchen features custom handcrafted tin range hood, custom ceiling with mirror inlays, custom cabinetry created by Peter Salerno Inc., a custom-crafted island and backsplash tile design.

Stay At Home: Make Our Own Home Brewed Cocktail Recipe!

The world is serious right now. While you’re stuck at home, why not bring a bit of summer fun into your “quarantine life”?

From the mind of Anthony Salerno (Peter’s son) comes an alcoholic treat that’s sure to challenge your taste buds and keep you relaxed indoors during a stressful time.

Vodka and fresh basil make Uncle Sal's Delight!
Vodka and fresh basil make Uncle Sal’s Delight!

It’s easy to make – a vodka drink with a twist from the garden – and even easier to drink. If you grow your own basil, you’ll find this to be a refreshing use!

So, to all you adults out there, give it a try – it’s Uncle Sal’s Delight!

Uncle Sal’s Delight (a cocktail recipe by Anthony Salerno) – please be of legal drinking age!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large, fresh basil leaves
  • 1 basil stem (with small leaves on it)
  • Sprite
  • Vodka (Tito’s or Absolut are the preferred choices)
  • Ice (cubed, not crushed)

Directions:

  • Fill a Highball glass with ice.
  • Roll the 2 large basil leaves in your hand to release the flavors, then rub leaves on the inside of the glass.
  • Leave the basil leaves in the glass, and bury them with ice.
  • Fill the glass up about 1/4 the way with Vodka (or 1/3, depending on your day).
  • Fill the remainder of the glass up with Sprite.
  • Lightly stir.
  • Garnish with the basil stem, letting its leaves rest on the surface of the cocktail.
  • Let sit for 2 minutes to allow the drink to settle and flavors to combine.

Enjoy – and let us know what you think of our “stay home” inspired cocktail creation!

The 2017 Peter Salerno Inc. Christmas Party Photos

The 2017 Peter Salerno Inc. Christmas Party Photos

Peter Salerno Inc. held its 2017 Christmas party inside the beautiful confines of its award-winning design showroom in Wyckoff, New Jersey earlier this month. As usual, the event was attended by family, friends, associates, staff and a few very special (and very cute) guests!

2017 brought several new babies into the Peter Salerno Inc. family – Gabrielle Salerno-Mayer’s daughter Brielle and Nadya Russov’s daughter Olivia join Anthony Salerno’s daughter Jesse as the next generation of passionate designers! As you’d expect, these beautiful little ladies were the main attraction at this year’s Christmas festivities.

Of course, something that’s always a featured treat at Peter Salerno Inc. showroom gatherings is Peter Salerno’s culinary creations! For 2017, Peter made a few of his special sauces . The first two sauces was a bolognese sauce with three meats, sweet peas, shredded prosciutto and a splash of merlot. The second sauce was a metro sauce, featuring plum tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, prosciutto and heavy cream.

Peter Salerno was joined by some of his most cherished business associates at the Christmas 2017 party as well. Guests included longtime friend and photographer Peter Rymwid, Nicole Sakosits (owner of Stratta, the Tile Boutique), and staff from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Peter is also blessed to be surrounded by his family this holiday season – his wife Tracy, son Anthony, daughter Gabrielle, daughter-in-law Eve, son-in-law Bryan, father Rosolino, and two beautiful grandchildren (the adorable Jesse and Brielle mentioned earlier).

There are many reasons for Peter Salerno and the Peter Salerno Inc. family to feel blessed during Christmas and the 2017 holiday season. The most important of all, as always, is the love and bond of family and friends, and the time and talents of Peter’s professional family.

Enjoy these exclusive photos from the 2017 Peter Salerno Inc. Christmas Party – we hope they add a little warmth and love to your day!

Recently, Peter Salerno (of our parent company, Peter Salerno Inc.) and his son Anthony took a trip to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, to experience a day of cooking and culinary craftsmanship with master chefs.

While each chose to take a separate CIA cooking class, both learned incredible CIA chef recipes that they will certainly use for the rest of their lives. Anthony attended the Under the Sea (seafood) course, while Peter Salerno chose the Mediterranean Cuisine cooking class.

Exclusive Photos from the KBIS 2017 Conference in Orlando!

Every year, the annual KBIS conference is THE foremost week of design in North America, and the 2017 KBIS conference was no exception. From January 10-12, 2017, KBIS 2017 took over Orlando with stellar design exhibits, contests, seminars and the largest array of design industry exhibitors North America will see all year.

Thanks to our friends at Peter Salerno Inc. (winners of more North American design awards than anyone since 2002, and NKBA members), we’re able to bring you exclusive photographs from INSIDE the KBIS 2017 Convention!

KBIS 2017: The KBIS NeXT Stage

A major highlight of this year’s conference was the KBIS NeXT Stage, presented by the NKBA and sponsored by HomeAdvisor. The KBIS NeXT Stage showcased the industry’s latest trends and insights shared by leading kitchen and bath experts.

One of KBIS NeXT’s prominent features was the NKBA 30 Under 30 presentation, featuring a crop of outstanding home, kitchen, and bath design professionals under 30 from across North America. By the way – congratulations to Peter Salerno Inc.’s Anthony Michael Salerno for being one of this year’s 30 Under 30!

KBIS 2017: Appliance Trends, La Cornue + Rangecraft

We also LOVE the new appliance trends at KBIS 2017 – most notably, what La Cornue had to offer. The featured color of La Cornue range on the KBIS Conference floor was a true jaw-dropper and the talk of many design exhibitors and attendees.

It was also great to see Rangecraft featured so prominently. Makers of fine custom range hoods from a diverse assortment of materials, Rangecraft is (in our opinion) an “IT” company to watch in 2017. If you love the concept of a custom range hood (especially stainless steel) in your home or professional kitchen, Rangecraft is certainly a brand to keep in mind.
