A MUST See Visual Tour of New Miele USA Kitchen Appliances

Quality. Technology. Craftsmanship. Design. Service. Brand. Miele is world-renowned for its six-point commitment to excellence in appliances. Recently, we got an up close and personal view at Miele’s present and future… and we’re impressed.

Peter Salerno, CMKBD (the owner of our parent company, Peter Salerno Inc.), was treated to a look at some of today’s most innovative and functional appliances, courtesy of our friends at Miele USA. Peter’s guided tour came from the best possible source – Jan Heck, the President and CEO of Miele USA. Jan’s forward-thinking approach to kitchen design and innovation shines through in Miele’s latest offering of kitchen appliances.

One of the best Miele appliances on the guided tour (featured on Peter Salerno Inc.’s official Instagram account) is the touch-to-open Miele refrigerator and freezer. Perfect for transitional and modern clientele, the refrigerator and freezer unit is the perfect blend of form and function for transitional kitchen design in 2019 and 2020.

The video below showcases the innovative “touch to open” appliance, copious interior space, and sleek metallic exterior. The ease of use of this Miele refrigerator and freezer unit is astounding – imagine having an armful of groceries and being able to open your refrigerator with a single touch. Fantastic!

Peter Salerno’s love of excellent wine led his directly to the new Miele wine refrigerator, which Jan Heck presented with great pride. The sheer amount of storage available in a modestly-sized unit is tremendous. Peter describes the Miele wine fridge on Instagram as “everything you need to entertain in one spot!”.

The ease with which owners of this wine refrigerator can slide pull drawers, store bottles and control temperature is first-rate. And the functionality and “hidden treasures” in this wine fridge were wonderful – click the video below and get a peek at the hidden drawer space that’s revealed when this wine fridge’s shelves are pulled out for display!

Recently, we featured a beautiful new Peter Salerno Inc. kitchen design, complete with butler’s pantry. A recent update on that design installation showcases some of Miele’s newest appliances housed in the butler’s pantry area. Miele’s ability to offer versatile color presentations of their appliances allowed Peter Salerno to build in gorgeous, all-white Miele appliances into the butler’s pantry space to match the custom cabinetry.

What do YOU think about the new fleet of Miele appliances? Leave a comment below, and be sure to follow Peter Salerno Inc. on Instagram for the latest in world-class custom kitchen design!

The design professionals at Peter Salerno Inc. know that it isn’t just the unmatched quality of our designs and cabinetry that create an incredible kitchen; the appliances matter too. While refrigeration is an easy solution with Sub Zero or Miele’s fully integrated models, ranges can sometimes be a difficult decision – especially for an Old World kitchen.

La Cornue has created a simple solution: Create a classic looking range that even the most experienced professional chefs will enjoy cooking with. They mix different materials such as stainless steel, copper, and brass with fired porcelain bodies in a wide variety of colors. Because of their performance and timeless appearance they are a common feature in Peter Salerno Inc.’s Tesoro ™ Collection kitchens.

The official Peter Salerno Inc. blog has been touting the luxury and ingenuity of La Cornue ranges for years. An excerpt from a past article:

Ever since Albert Dupuy invented the first La Cornue oven over a century ago, the company has stood at the forefront of cooking design, craftsmanship and innovation. As such, La Cornue has developed a reputation as one of its industry’s leaders, and one of the world’s most luxurious brand names in the world of kitchen design.

Peter Salerno Inc. is proud to not only offer La Cornue’s outstanding line of cooking range products, but to display four La Cornue pieces in our beautiful showroom – a CornuFĂŠ range, a CornuFĂŠ 1908, a Flamberge Rotisserie, and an absolutely stunning Château range. Much of our partnership with La Cornue is thanks to the tireless work of our business ally and friend Craig Kmiecik, the East Coast Territory Manager for La Cornue at Purcell Murray Company. For over 30 years, Purcell Murray has personified culinary passion and provided the most exquisite brands of appliances, including La Cornue ovens.

As the reigning Most Innovative Small Showroom in North America (awarded by KBIS and the NKBA), Peter Salerno Inc. has an obligation to present new, innovative and outstanding designs, appliances and technology in its Wyckoff, New Jersey showroom. When Peter Salerno saw the Miele flagship 48″ range in person at the Oberg & Lindquist boutique appliance studio, he knew it had to be featured in his new design vignette.

“I’m thrilled to have the new Miele 48-inch range as the centerpiece of our new transitional kitchen showroom vignette,” Peter Salerno said. “It truly is the definition of modern transitional design.”

That quote, incidentally, is from Peter Salerno inc.’s Miele transitional kitchen showroom vignette launch from nearly 3 years ago. When reached for comment regarding his updated feelings about the Miele Range, Peter said simply, “The same applies.”

Need a convection oven? The Miele Range has it. M Touch display panel with a 35-degree tilt for access and visibility? You bet. Four distinct power options – All Gas, All Electric, Induction and Duel Fuel? You guessed it.

Why Is It Still So Cold? Get Warm With The Miele Generation 6000 Coffee System

Why Is It Still So Cold? Get Warm With The Miele Generation 6000 Coffee System

Hey. Mother Nature. It’s SPRING. The middle of April. Stop playing games. We’re all getting very depressed out here.

We’ve read all the theories. “Global warming is causing colder temperatures”? Look, it probably makes scientific sense, but it doesn’t make… you know, logic sense. There was an article about something called “Arctic oscillation”, which seemed promising. The theory was that global patterns had changed, based on geopotential heights, and – okay, we have no idea what any of those words mean.

What we do know is that it’s still way too cold, and we are so darn happy we have a Miele Generation 6000 Coffee System in the showroom.

When Peter Salerno Inc.’s showroom was named Most Innovative Small Showroom at the 2015 KBIS convention in Las Vegas, it wasn’t just an award – it was a responsibility. Peter Salerno understood that people would be looking to his state-of-the-art showroom in Wyckoff, New Jersey, to display the latest in design trends, technological advances, and streamlined kitchen design, bath design and custom cabinetry.

So when the opportunity presented itself, it went without saying that Peter Salerno put Miele’s state-of-the-art coffee maker in the showroom. And trust us – with record low temperatures outside the showroom for pretty much all of 2018 thus far, we’re getting plenty of use out of it!

Let’s take a look at one of the highlights of the Generation 6000 Miele product line, the Miele Generation 6000 Coffee System.
The Miele Generation 6000 coffee system, to be featured in Peter Salerno Inc.'s showroom.

From the latest Miele Generation 6000 Coffee System press release:

There are several new highlights to the Generation 6000 Whole Bean Coffee System including a new
CupSensor, EasyClick Milk System and One Touch for Two features. Exclusive to Miele, the
CupSensor automatically adjusts the height of the spout to the optimum position for different cup and glass sizes.

Whether a tall latté macchiato or a dainty espresso is being prepared, the central spout automatically adjusts to the cup’s rim and eliminates splashing. The CupSensor even reacts precisely to beverages made with milk by raising the spout slightly to make room for the incoming espresso. Also new is the EasyClick milk system, which is a dishwasher-safe glass milk flask that effortlessly clicks into place at the front of the machine. And for easy maintenance, the new Miele Coffee Systems now automatically rinse all milk spouts and hoses with water after each use.

The One Touch for Two feature allows the user to prepare two coffee specialties such as cappuccino and lattĂŠ macchiato at the same time, thus reducing prep time when two or more drinks are being served. Miele Generation 6000 series is distinguished by its elegant design and remarkable innovations to deliver unmatched results that can be seen, touched and tasted. German engineered and tested to last 20 years, Generation 6000 reinforces the Miele Design for Life philosophy and solidifies Miele at the forefront of residential culinary appliances.

World-Class Miele Transitional Kitchen Display: 2nd Anniversary

World-Class Miele Transitional Kitchen Display: 2nd Anniversary

Two years ago, Miele and Peter Salerno Inc. partnered on what would become one of the foremost Miele transitional kitchen displays in the world.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, Peter Salerno Inc., Miele, and some of the finest representatives of the custom kitchen design, appliance and hardware industries came together to celebrate the exclusive unveiling of this spectacular new transitional kitchen showroom vignette.

The new transitional kitchen vignette was not only a showcase of Peter Salerno Inc.’s award-winning transitional kitchen design efforts, but of the state-of-the-art Miele kitchen appliance line.

Miele USA was represented by Miele USA VP of Sales Bob Fava, National Director of A&D Research Group Paul McCormack, NY Metro Regional Sales Manager Dan Gallagher, and Princeton Miele Culinary Events Manager Mary Moulds.

The Island

The centerpiece of the new transitional kitchen display is a stunning kitchen island, topped with a beautiful counter designed by Galaxy Glass. The thick glass slab is embedded with stainless steel mesh for a gorgeous, clean transitional design feel, and allows the user to opt between a soft white light or color wheel display option.

The kitchen island affords comfortable seating for three on one side and is adorned by statement globe lighting which hangs from the recessed ceiling. The recessed ceiling itself is a beautiful 9-panel design painstakingly decorated with silver leaf, and features seamless custom edge moulding.

The base of the island is an ivory white custom piece by Peter Salerno Inc., featuring the astounding Knock2Open Miele Dishwasher. Simply knock, and the dishwasher automatically opens for you – no fussy latches or slamming doors! The base also includes custom cabinetry work from Peter Salerno Inc.’s Maestro Rosolino line.

The Flooring

The flooring is a beautiful, durable faux-wood concrete which was voted on by you, the readers of Peter Salerno Inc.’s official blog. Wonderful job!

The Backsplash

The backsplash, provided by the world-class artists at Stratta, the Tile Boutique, was also voted on by readers of this blog. A seamless design that appears to be one solid pre-fab piece, it is actually comprised of over 250 meticulously set tiles.

The Salerno family celebrates the new transitional kitchen showroom vignette.

The Feature Wall

In front of the backsplash, 4 glass shelves are mounted in front of LED lighting, which presents the illusion of pure white light streaming from within the shelves. A bold stainless steel range hood design was custom-designed by Peter Salerno Inc. and crafted especially for this transitional kitchen display by the artisans at Rangecraft.

The custom ivory white Maestro Rosolino cabinetry features over a dozen drawers. 6 drawers are push-to-open (to complement the Knock2Open Miele Dishwasher), with 2 more “hidden drawers” which border the Miele range in the form of moulding columns.

The Miele 48″ range and cooktop itself is a wonder of modern technology. It features a conventional range, warming drawer and storage unit, as well as a 6-burner cooktop. The range features a wireless roast probe which communicates directly with the oven. For example, if you want to cook a tenderloin to an internal temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit, simply turn on the oven and set the roast probe to 135. When the internal temperature of the tenderloin reaches the desired temperature, the oven will automatically shut off and alert the user that the roast is ready!

From bread to roasts, sear to bake, the Miele oven features hundreds of customizable settings to suit the needs of every chef, from amateur to professional. The 48″ Miele range also features a built-in speed oven which eliminates the need for a microwave.

The feature wall also includes a new Miele coffee maker that must be experienced to be believed! Below the coffee maker is a combination steam oven which allows user to stack cooking programs and save cooking recipes beforehand, where the user can seamlessly go in and out of cooking and steam functions or even use those functions in conjunction with each other. The combination steam oven also allows user to control the percentage of steam from 0-100% which is unique to Miele.

Each of the Miele appliances showcased in this transitional kitchen design vignette is constructed with the same look and feel- from the construction and materials to the display and functionality. Every detail is methodically crafted to provide a seamless user experience.
