On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, Peter Salerno Inc. proudly held a debut celebration for its new transitional kitchen showroom display at its gorgeous Wyckoff, NJ showroom. The event was attended by a “who’s who” of the kitchen design, appliance and custom design world.

The transitional kitchen vignette is not only a showcase of Peter Salerno Inc.’s award-winning transitional kitchen design efforts, but of the new, state-of-the-art Miele kitchen appliance line. The Island

The centerpiece of the new transitional kitchen display is a stunning kitchen island, topped with a beautiful counter designed by Galaxy Glass. The thick glass slab is embedded with stainless steel mesh for a gorgeous, clean transitional design feel, and allows the user to opt between a soft white light or color wheel display option.

The kitchen island affords comfortable seating for three on one side and is adorned by statement globe lighting which hangs from the recessed ceiling. The recessed ceiling itself is a beautiful 9-panel design painstakingly decorated with silver leaf, and features seamless custom edge moulding.

The base of the island is an ivory white custom piece by Peter Salerno Inc., featuring the astounding Knock2Open Miele Dishwasher. Simply knock, and the dishwasher automatically opens for you – no fussy latches or slamming doors! The base also includes custom cabinetry work from Peter Salerno Inc.’s Maestro Rosolino line.

The Flooring

The flooring is a beautiful, durable faux-wood concrete which was voted on by you, the readers of Peter Salerno Inc.’s official blog. Wonderful job!

The Backsplash

The backsplash, provided by the world-class artists at Stratta, the Tile Boutique, was also voted on by readers of this blog. A seamless design that appears to be one solid pre-fab piece, it is actually comprised of over 250 meticulously set tiles.

The Feature Wall

In front of the backsplash, 4 glass shelves are mounted in front of LED lighting, which presents the illusion of pure white light streaming from within the shelves. A bold stainless steel range hood design was custom-designed by Peter Salerno Inc. and crafted especially for this transitional kitchen display by the artisans at Rangecraft.

The custom ivory white Maestro Rosolino cabinetry features over a dozen drawers. 6 drawers are push-to-open (to complement the Knock2Open Miele Dishwasher), with 2 more “hidden drawers” which border the Miele range in the form of moulding columns.

The Miele 48″ range and cooktop itself is a wonder of modern technology. It features a conventional range, warming drawer and storage unit, as well as a 6-burner cooktop. The range features a wireless roast probe which communicates directly with the oven. For example, if you want to cook a tenderloin to an internal temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit, simply turn on the oven and set the roast probe to 135. When the internal temperature of the tenderloin reaches the desired temperature, the oven will automatically shut off and alert the user that the roast is ready!

From bread to roasts, sear to bake, the Miele oven features hundreds of customizable settings to suit the needs of every chef, from amateur to professional. The 48″ Miele range also features a built-in speed oven which eliminates the need for a microwave.

The feature wall also includes a new Miele coffee maker that must be experienced to be believed! Below the coffee maker is a combination steam oven which allows user to stack cooking programs and save cooking recipes beforehand, where the user can seamlessly go in and out of cooking and steam functions or even use those functions in conjunction with each other. The combination steam oven also allows user to control the percentage of steam from 0-100% which is unique to Miele.

Each of the Miele appliances showcased in this transitional kitchen design vignette is constructed with the same look and feel- from the construction and materials to the display and functionality. Every detail is methodically crafted to provide a seamless user experience.

Who is “The Face of The Ultimate Kitchen” in 2019? Exclusive Design Article

Who is “The Face of The Ultimate Kitchen” in 2019? Exclusive Design Article

It’s quite the honor to be named “The Face of the Ultimate Kitchen”. Bergen Magazine set out to bestow that honor on one designer in their 2019 Faces of Bergen edition, and we couldn’t be more confident with their selection.

“We’re about working with clients, big or small, classic or modern, creating the rare and distinctive personalized space for any budget,” explains Peter Salerno, the 2019 “Face of the Ultimate Kitchen” in Bergen Magazine.

Peter Salerno is the owner and founder of Peter Salerno Inc., the most award-winning North American custom kitchen and bath design firm of the 21st century. Since 2000, Peter and his design team have won 35 national and international design awards from such prestigious organizations as the NKBA, KBIS, HGTV, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Signature Kitchens & Baths.

Peter Salerno Inc. represents a three generation lineage of passionate, masterful custom designers. Peter Salerno founded his eponymous business in 1997 on the shoulders of his father Rosolino’s work as a master cabinetmaker in Sicily. Alongside his wife, Tracy, and his children, Anthony and Gabrielle, Peter has revolutionized the “family business” into a world-class design firm that has installed custom kitchen and bath designs in multiple countries on multiple continents.

Peter Salerno Inc. has expanded to a gorgeous, award-winning showroom on Goffle Road in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and become a cornerstone business in Bergen County’s marketplace. While Peter’s designs have taken him around the world, he still takes great pride and pleasure in being a New Jersey-based kitchen and bath designer, with dozens of award-winning designs in homes spanning New Jersey, New York and the American Northeast.

“With an eye for the unusual, Peter searches the globe for unique materials, reclaimed objects and old timbers from barns and historic buildings,” the article in Bergen Magazine reads. Peter Salerno Inc. has become synonymous with beautiful and eclectic design materials. From reclaimed tin from a Route 66 gas station to old timbers from an historic New York City orphanage, the next great inspiration for an award-winning Peter Salerno Inc. design can truly come from nearly anywhere.

It’s a wonderful honor to be recognized as the “Face of the Ultimate Kitchen” by a forward-thinking publication like Bergen Magazine, and it’s a moniker that Peter Salerno sees as both a great compliment and a great challenge.

Peter Salerno Updates Mansion Kitchen In Saddle River, NJ

Peter Salerno Designs Transitional Kitchen In $7M Mansion

The latest kitchen design for Peter Salerno Inc. is truly a multi-million dollar update.

Taking a classic kitchen and updating it to a transitional kitchen design is no small feat – but the scale becomes even grander when that kitchen is located in an opulent mansion listed at nearly $7 million on the market. It’s a kitchen design task that Peter Salerno and his team were eager to take on, and we’ll keep you posted on progress.

The mansion, listed at $6,995,000, is located in beautiful Saddle River, New Jersey. It was the former home of famed record producer Kedar Massenburg, and it was featured less than 2 years ago on Homes Of The Rich. The initial design of the Massenburg Mansion was beautiful, and Peter Salerno expects nothing less than spectacular results from this transitional kitchen update.

The Saddle River mansion contains 5 bedrooms, 6 full and 2 half bathrooms, double bridal staircase, 5 fireplaces, interior elevator, home theater, game room with bar, swimming pool with spa and cabana, and a luxurious eight-car garage.
