More Exclusive Photos from KBIS 2018 Design Conference

In our last article, we gave you an insider look at some photos from the KBIS 2018 conference in Orlando, courtesy of Peter Salerno of Peter Salerno Inc.

Peter Salerno has given us even more exclusive VIP photo from the KBIS 2018 conference to share, including many that will never be seen anywhere else (even on social media)! We’re grateful for our partnership with Peter Salerno Inc., the most award-winning North American kitchen and bath design firm of the 21st century – they give us amazing access to some of the most valuable design conferences, platforms and opportunities the world has to offer.

Peter’s trip to KBIS 2018 (the Kitchen & Bath Industry Showcase) in Orlando was a whirlwind of innovative displays, informative panels, engaging speakers and invaluable networking opportunities. As always, it left him wishing for just “one more day” of KBIS to soak it all in.

Lucky for all of us, Peter documented some of the finest sights from this year’s KBIS conference and is sharing the photos with the world here on Design Your Lifestyle.

As you experience Peter Salerno’s photos from KBIS 2018, you’ll notice a few trends. Peter was especially inspired by a few core concepts and innovations from this year’s conference:

  • Intriguing kitchen appliances and fixtures, specifically some stunning sinks;
  • Wild, artistic tile and backsplash designs and patterns;
  • Innovations and artistic advances in wood flooring;
  • Technological innovations in refrigeration, cooling and storage.

We’re sure you’re saying, “All right already – enough with the talking! Let’s see some awesome design photos!” To that we reply, “no problem!”

We hope you enjoy Peter Salerno’s exclusive photo gallery from the KBIS 2018 conference, hosted by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

KBIS 2017: Photo Review of An Amazing Week in Design! [Part 2 of 2]

More Exclusive Photos from the KBIS 2017 Conference in Orlando!

In Part 1 of our KBIS 2017 photo review, we began sharing exclusive photos from inside the illustrious KBIS 2017 Design Conference from earlier this month in Orlando, FL. We followed that article up with exhibit floor photos of some of our favorite designs and displays from that week.

Thanks to our parent company Peter Salerno Inc., we’re able to share even more exclusive exhibit and design photos from the week that was at KBIS 2017, as well as highlights from what was an amazing experience. Thanks to KBIS and the NKBA for putting on a beautiful, educational, and highly efficient experience for designers, vendors, creators and the public!

KBIS 2017: Tiny House Design Challenge

One of the most entertaining new aspects of KBIS 2017 was the Tiny Home Challenge: Student Edition. Based loosely on the hit HGTV show and NKBA’s ingenuity, entrants capitalized on the “tiny house challenge” trend and competed to win fantastic tech/gadget prizes.

KBIS 2017: Magic of Design Awards Dinner

The KBIS 2017 Design Conference kicked off in grand style with the Magic of Design awards dinner on January 9th. Hosted at the World Showplace at Disney’s Epcot Center, the dinner was a fantastic experience to network with designers, trendsetters and luminaries in the world of custom kitchen, bath, home and interior design.

More News and Updates from KBIS 2017

As previously stated, the KBIS 2017 exhibitor showcase floor was bigger than ever before, and filled with design inspirations for professionals, industry insiders, vendors and home owners.

Smart bath appliances were the rage at KBIS 2017. Smart toilets, sinks and faucets surged onto the exhibitor floor, leaving an indelible impression on those in attendance. In particular, self-cleaning toilets from brands like American Standard generated quite a bit of interest.

It was also interesting to note the trend of stainless steel with a “black finish” in kitchen appliances. Major appliance manufacturers like Samsung and LG continued to promote the arrival of “black stainless steel” ranges and ovens, featuring several prototypes along the way.

The KBIS conference is always a wonderful time for designers from across the map to come together and share tips, innovations and insights. Peter Salerno was thrilled to have the opportunity to reconnect with some of his favorite people in the design industry. Below, Peter catches up with Maria Stapperfenne, former NKBA 2015 president, and Rhonda Knoche, owner of Rhonda Knoche Design in Oregon.

KBIS 2017 Exhibit and Vendor Photos: Exclusive VIP Pictures!

KBIS 2017 Exhibit and Vendor Photos: Exclusive VIP Pictures!

In our last article, our parent company Peter Salerno Inc. brought you exclusive reporting and photos from inside the prestigious KBIS 2017 Design Conference in Orlando, FL.

Part 2 of the exclusive Peter Salerno Inc. insider VIP report from KBIS 2017 is coming your way later this week. While we finalize the news, images and design trends from that amazing week in design, we figured we would whet your appetite with some more never-been-seen VIP design photos from inside KBIS 2017!

All the photos in this article are taken directly from the KBIS 2017 floor – from featured vendors, exhibitors, design companies and award winners. KBIS 2017 (backed by the National Kitchen & Bath Association, or NKBA) is always the foremost design conference in North America. The innovators, trend-setters, and awesome designs seen in these photos attest to that!

Some of the major trends from KBIS 2017 that are observable in these photos include:

  • More composite materials in sinks and countertops, with a reliance on the “old standard” of classic white marble looks.
  • Concrete continues to be on the rise as a multi-purpose material in virtually all facets of kitchen and bath design – flooring, concrete “tile”, countertops, and so on.
  • Some things never go out of style. Black and white combinations – especially in kitchen tile (see photo #4 for a gorgeous, eye-popping example), counters and cabinetry – continue to be all the rage.

So take a look at some of the more intriguing design photos from the exhibit floor of KBIS 2017, which took place January 10-12, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. Comment and let us know what you like and what you think!

Exclusive Photos from the KBIS 2017 Conference in Orlando!

Every year, the annual KBIS conference is THE foremost week of design in North America, and the 2017 KBIS conference was no exception. From January 10-12, 2017, KBIS 2017 took over Orlando with stellar design exhibits, contests, seminars and the largest array of design industry exhibitors North America will see all year.

Thanks to our friends at Peter Salerno Inc. (winners of more North American design awards than anyone since 2002, and NKBA members), we’re able to bring you exclusive photographs from INSIDE the KBIS 2017 Convention!

KBIS 2017: The KBIS NeXT Stage

A major highlight of this year’s conference was the KBIS NeXT Stage, presented by the NKBA and sponsored by HomeAdvisor. The KBIS NeXT Stage showcased the industry’s latest trends and insights shared by leading kitchen and bath experts.

One of KBIS NeXT’s prominent features was the NKBA 30 Under 30 presentation, featuring a crop of outstanding home, kitchen, and bath design professionals under 30 from across North America. By the way – congratulations to Peter Salerno Inc.’s Anthony Michael Salerno for being one of this year’s 30 Under 30!

KBIS 2017: Appliance Trends, La Cornue + Rangecraft

We also LOVE the new appliance trends at KBIS 2017 – most notably, what La Cornue had to offer. The featured color of La Cornue range on the KBIS Conference floor was a true jaw-dropper and the talk of many design exhibitors and attendees.

The stunning La Cornue display range at the KBIS 2017 Conference.

It was also great to see Rangecraft featured so prominently. Makers of fine custom range hoods from a diverse assortment of materials, Rangecraft is (in our opinion) an “IT” company to watch in 2017. If you love the concept of a custom range hood (especially stainless steel) in your home or professional kitchen, Rangecraft is certainly a brand to keep in mind.
