Paradise Found | PANTONE’s Tropical Take on 2019 Wedding Color Design
If you missed Pantone’s recent article on 2019 wedding color palettes, click here for the full piece – it’s a must-read for wedding planners, engaged couples and decorators.
The Pantone Color Institute and Wedding Wire collaborated on a series of four ‘aspirational but attainable’ color palettes for 2019, and the results were (predictably) magnificent. Each series of 8 to 10 Pantone colors provides a fully realized color design for four very different concepts and feels. One of these stood out to us as particularly unique and inventive; more on the Paradise Found palette in a moment!
Followers of Design Your Lifestyle are well aware how high a value we place on color design. This is especially the case for weddings; color palettes are often the first decision made by brides, grooms and planners. The color scheme of a wedding ceremony, reception and festivities sets the tone for the occasion, and modern couples constantly search for unique color ideas to stand apart from other weddings in their season.
A quote from Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute:
“Color is a powerful tool – not just for enhancing aesthetics that are critical to every element of a wedding – but to evoke emotion and create the special mood that a couple wishes to communicate throughout their special day from playful and adventurous to romantic and timeless, and everything in between. In concert with the resources and planning tools from WeddingWire, these custom palettes created by The Pantone Color Institute are intended to help couples navigate their color and design choices in an inspiring, meaningful and uniquely memorable way.”
We are extremely enamored with the Paradise Found color palette cultivated by the Pantone Color Institute and Wedding Wire for the 2019 wedding season. The 10 colors in the collection resonate so beautifully with the Pantone Spring 2019 collection and its blend of inviting sea and sky tones. Paradise Found also finds harmony with Living Coral, the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year.
The steady Blanc de Blanc and Deep Lagoon provide a backbone for the audacious Firecracker and Blue Curacao. The pastel warmth of Papaya Punch is offset neatly by the blue-green of Fanfare and Spectra Green. The rich, dazzling Golden Egg rounds out the Paradise Found collection.
