Peter Salerno Inc. Cabinetry: Full FAQ on Your Journey to Award-Winning Cabinets
Our parent company, Peter Salerno Inc., is the most award-winning custom kitchen and bath design company in North America since 2002. A major facet of Peter Salerno Inc.’s success is the Maestro Rosolino line of world-class custom cabinetry.
Maestro Rosolino is named for Peter Salerno’s father, Rosolino, an artisan who began his cabinetry business in Sicily. Dreaming of a life in America for his family and children, Rosolino came to the United States – where his son, Peter, continued the fine family tradition of handcrafted custom cabinetry.
From the Peter Salerno Inc. website:
Peter Salerno Inc. strives to design the perfect kitchen, bathroom, wine cellar, library, and any other space for our clients. We do this by not only looking at it from an aesthetic perspective, but also from a functional perspective. Our approach is the same as a bespoke tailor; instead of designing and crafting together a suit or dress we are tailoring your home to your lifestyle. Much like a tailor with different grades of fabric, we too carry an array of options varying in quality and features to help fit your budget.

FAQ and Price Points: Peter Salerno Inc. Custom Cabinetry
I Furniture Grade
This is our highest quality cabinet. These cabinets are entirely custom and are made to last a lifetime. They feature standard black walnut drawers, extra thick doors, extra coats of finish, exotic and reclaimed woods, and the sturdiest construction available. Every aspect of this level is customizable. All of these cabinets are made in the USA.
II Transition Grade
One step down from our Furniture Grade, Transition is a custom line offering high-quality construction without the extra bulk of our furniture grade. Available with either maple or walnut drawers and extra thick or standard doors, this cabinet can be as dressed up or down as you’d like while offering you complete design freedom. All these cabinets are made in the USA.
III Cabinet Grade
Cabinet Grade is great for tight budgets where the need for a lot of fine-detail work and custom sizing is not necessary. We base our design around semi-custom cabinet parameters to help keep your budget in check. All of these cabinets are made in the USA
IV Builder Grade
A builder’s budget is usually tight, but a great kitchen and bath design will help sell a house. Because of this we offer a quality stock cabinet while still offering our award winning design service. It’s the difference between just hanging boxes on a wall and installing a kitchen.
Under some circumstances we do offer a design-only service. We will take measurements (if local), or design based on architectural plans. We will provide (1) floorplan and (1) set of elevations based on our design specifications. Pricing varies depending on the scope of the project.

At Peter Salerno, Inc. it’s important that we not only deliver the ultimate kitchen, but the ultimate cooking experience as well. Cooking is a passion that every designer at Peter Salerno, Inc. shares. Through this passion we discovered that the most important tool while preparing food was the kitchen knife. A poor quality knife can turn cooking into a chore instead of a fun activity.
After speaking with dozens of home-cooks and professional chefs, Anthony Michael Salerno, AKTI, NKBA Member, designed a collection of simple yet elegant designs for both the home kitchen and professional kitchen. Peter Salerno, Inc. collaborated with Aldo Bruno (New Jersey Steel Baron) to use only the highest quality materials and ensure that each knife is hand-ground and hand-assembled right here in New Jersey to bring each client a truly custom piece by local knifemakers.
Leading culinary experts, from professional chefs to culinary event managers, have raved about their use with the EDGES custom cutlery prototypes. Now, the first fleet of custom knives is fresh out of Aldo Bruno’s studio and ready for you to use and cherish in your home kitchen, restaurant or professional dining facility!
Anthony designed these knives with three aspects in mind: Performance, Handling, and Looks. Each knife has its own distinct look and feel while remaining balanced, ergonomic, and light. All of our knives are perfectly balanced at the ricasso with contoured handles to ensure your knife feels like an extension of your hand.
