More Exclusive Photos from KBIS 2018 Design Conference
In our last article, we gave you an insider look at some photos from the KBIS 2018 conference in Orlando, courtesy of Peter Salerno of Peter Salerno Inc.
Peter Salerno has given us even more exclusive VIP photo from the KBIS 2018 conference to share, including many that will never be seen anywhere else (even on social media)! We’re grateful for our partnership with Peter Salerno Inc., the most award-winning North American kitchen and bath design firm of the 21st century – they give us amazing access to some of the most valuable design conferences, platforms and opportunities the world has to offer.
Peter’s trip to KBIS 2018 (the Kitchen & Bath Industry Showcase) in Orlando was a whirlwind of innovative displays, informative panels, engaging speakers and invaluable networking opportunities. As always, it left him wishing for just “one more day” of KBIS to soak it all in.
Lucky for all of us, Peter documented some of the finest sights from this year’s KBIS conference and is sharing the photos with the world here on Design Your Lifestyle.
As you experience Peter Salerno’s photos from KBIS 2018, you’ll notice a few trends. Peter was especially inspired by a few core concepts and innovations from this year’s conference:
Intriguing kitchen appliances and fixtures, specifically some stunning sinks;
Wild, artistic tile and backsplash designs and patterns;
Innovations and artistic advances in wood flooring;
Technological innovations in refrigeration, cooling and storage.
We’re sure you’re saying, “All right already – enough with the talking! Let’s see some awesome design photos!” To that we reply, “no problem!”
We hope you enjoy Peter Salerno’s exclusive photo gallery from the KBIS 2018 conference, hosted by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
More Exclusive Photos from the KBIS 2017 Conference in Orlando!
In Part 1 of our KBIS 2017 photo review, we began sharing exclusive photos from inside the illustrious KBIS 2017 Design Conference from earlier this month in Orlando, FL. We followed that article up with exhibit floor photos of some of our favorite designs and displays from that week.
Thanks to our parent company Peter Salerno Inc., we’re able to share even more exclusive exhibit and design photos from the week that was at KBIS 2017, as well as highlights from what was an amazing experience. Thanks to KBIS and the NKBA for putting on a beautiful, educational, and highly efficient experience for designers, vendors, creators and the public!
One of the most entertaining new aspects of KBIS 2017 was the Tiny Home Challenge: Student Edition. Based loosely on the hit HGTV show and NKBA’s ingenuity, entrants capitalized on the “tiny house challenge” trend and competed to win fantastic tech/gadget prizes.

The esteemed panel of judges for the KBIS 2017 Tiny Home Challenge: Student Edition included Peter Salerno (CMKBD), NKBA member and most award-winning NKBA/KBIS designer since 2003.
The KBIS 2017 Design Conference kicked off in grand style with the Magic of Design awards dinner on January 9th. Hosted at the World Showplace at Disney’s Epcot Center, the dinner was a fantastic experience to network with designers, trendsetters and luminaries in the world of custom kitchen, bath, home and interior design.

We have it on good authority from Peter Salerno and Anthony Salerno that the Magic of Design awards dinner (and party!) was a perfect mix of fun, recognition, and the opportunity to meet some of the great minds in design today.
More News and Updates from KBIS 2017
As previously stated, the KBIS 2017 exhibitor showcase floor was bigger than ever before, and filled with design inspirations for professionals, industry insiders, vendors and home owners.
Smart bath appliances were the rage at KBIS 2017. Smart toilets, sinks and faucets surged onto the exhibitor floor, leaving an indelible impression on those in attendance. In particular, self-cleaning toilets from brands like American Standard generated quite a bit of interest.
It was also interesting to note the trend of stainless steel with a “black finish” in kitchen appliances. Major appliance manufacturers like Samsung and LG continued to promote the arrival of “black stainless steel” ranges and ovens, featuring several prototypes along the way.

The KBIS conference is always a wonderful time for designers from across the map to come together and share tips, innovations and insights. Peter Salerno was thrilled to have the opportunity to reconnect with some of his favorite people in the design industry. Below, Peter catches up with Maria Stapperfenne, former NKBA 2015 president, and Rhonda Knoche, owner of Rhonda Knoche Design in Oregon.

How Peter Salerno Inc. Aided Hurricane Katrina Victims: Photos
This month, we’re celebrating our parent company Peter Salerno Inc.’s 20th year in the custom kitchen and bath design business. The celebration takes a look back at some of Peter Salerno Inc.’s memorable moments over the last 20 years – from humble beginnings at their first showroom to becoming the most award-winning North American design firm since 2002.
Since Peter Salerno opened his first showroom in 1997, a core value in his mission statement has been giving back to those in need. It’s a value instilled in Peter and his family by his parents and passed down through Peter and his wife Tracy to their children, Anthony and Gabrielle.

In 2006, Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast of the United States. Cities and towns like New Orleans, Gulfport and Mobile were devastated by the effects of one of the most notable hurricanes in American history. It was a time for all Americans (and the world) to come together to aid one of the most vital portions of our nation and rebuild the Gulf Coast region.
Through the support and guidance of Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County (New Jersey), Peter Salerno, his family, work team and neighborhood came together to help one family who lost their home in Hurricane Katrina.

New home construction through Habitat for Humanity took place in the back parking lot of Peter Salerno Inc.’s old showroom (which stood nearly adjacent to the current Peter Salerno Inc. showroom on Goffle Road in Wyckoff, New Jersey). Peter Salerno, the Peter Salerno Inc. team and his family worked diligently to create a new home for a family affected by Hurricane Katrina. In doing so, they asked the community for help.
They couldn’t have dreamed how large the response would be.

Members of the local high school turned out to assist in the Habitat for Humanity construction, as well as members of the Westwood (NJ) High School basketball team. Anthony and Gabrielle’s current and former teachers (at the time) showed up to aid Peter Salerno Inc. in the new home construction, and family and community volunteers came together to help create a new home for a wonderful family.

Christening Photos of Peter Salerno’s Granddaughter Jesse
Beautiful Christening Photos of Jesse Caren Salerno
It was with pride, honor and love that Peter Salerno and his family celebrated the christening of beautiful baby Jesse, Peter’s first grandchild. The daughter of Anthony and Eve Salerno, Jesse Caren was christened by Father Jim Kelly on January 2, 2016.
In a beautiful service at St. Andrew’s Church in Westwood, NJ, Jesse Caren was christened in front of adoring family and friends. The service included multiple traditional rites from different historical eras and regional Catholic faiths, and was orchestrated wonderfully by Father Jim.
Afterwards, Peter and Tracy Salerno invited family and friends back to their lovely home for a celebration, which lasted hours – mainly because no one could take their eyes off Jesse, who looked radiant in her white christening dress.
But don’t take our word for it – look at these beautiful photos from Jesse Caren Salerno’s christening and see for yourself!
We are so proud to share these photos with the world! The christening of baby Jesse was certainly a perfect way to ring in the New Year of 2016.

Jesse was born on Tuesday, September 8th, at 9:10 p.m. She weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Anthony and Eve were blessed to be surrounded by the love of all four of Jesse’s grandparents, as well as Jesse’s ecstatic aunt and uncle, Gabrielle and Brian Mayer, and her uncle Ben Turner!
